It’s been anuther quiet week fur the most part around the Village, wif the eggcepshun of a wild’n’crazee pardee last Friday in chat. It was a once-in-9-lifetimes occurrence, so that was a ‘gr8' reason to sellybrate!
Several residents seem to be off on bacashun rite now, an old bizness is reopening, and somekits’ have a new sisfur, so there’s been some fings goin on around town. Make sure you find out what’s been goin on around town rite here in the Mews!

= Yoo Hoo, Where Is You? =

The Purr kitties have been takin delite lately in tormenting their mom by playin hide’n’seek and catch-me-if-you-can. Last week, Smudge Purr (one of the porch kits) manajed to eggscape She’s stayed rite near the house, mostly under a bush, but is refusin to let herself be catched to come back in ... and gigglin behind her paw at her mom’s effurrts to coax her in. Chances are soon she’ll tire of the outdoors and want to come in. Meanwhile, bruther Charlee played a game of hiding hisownself, and scared his mom into finkin he was trapped or eggscaped somewhere. He nonshalantlee showed up later, and wondered what all the fuss was about.

= Splish Splash =

Who was takin a baff? It wasn’t your ordinary baff that Tarrigo NY encountered the other day, but insted some stranje washin masheen fur pets. Stuffed in a bigg box that rained and blewed on him, Tarrigo came out nice and cleen, but didn’t fink too much at all of this fansy contrapshun that some hooman inbented.

= Not a Happy Camper =

Spencer Furrlorida wasn’t too happy this week when one of his furmer owners (who is now his unkle) came to bisit, and neither was Petie, Unkle isn’t furry fond of kitties, and didn’t talk furry nice about Spencer jumpin on his lap or Petie leavin ‘purresents’ on the floor. Petie was advised by frends to leave Unkle a gooshy purresent when he leaves, and assured Spencer that he is now in a grate home and is so luved.

= Goggie Tails =

Crash Mainecat and siblins has desided to let their mom and dad adopt a new puppy after all, and the pup arrived home the other day to mixed greetins. They will all soon get used to each other, but in the meanwhile, some of the Mainecats are keepin lil pup, Quinn, at a caushus distance.
Kaeli Snowta rarely barks, eggcept at wildlife, so her pawrents was stumped by what she was barkin at effurry evenin while in the front yard. It turns out there is a sign in the naybor’s yard down the road that Kaeli could see, and Kaeli was merely following the direkshuns of the sign effurry time she read it. What did it say, you ask? Roofing! (Fanks to Munchkin Catnip fur cleverly figgerin that out fur us. ;) )
Peppercorn Noblekit’s hooman bruther David got himself a new goggie resently, and named it Graci. Peppercorn thot mebbe his wifekit, Graci Snowta, mite take offense, but she sed Grace is a good name fur all pets who just mite need a lil grace in their lifes.

= Bizness Reopenin =

Ye Olde Tyme Candy Shoppe has a new owner, and plans are made fur a grand reopening soon. Sez new owner Remi Snowta, “We will continue to bring you all of your deliteful old-fashuned favorite pawmade candies, as well as an eggcitin new line of exotic candy from around the world. Watch fur ads in the Mews fur announcements of our reopenin soon, and we hope to see you then!”


THE MEOWDICAL REPURRT

= BunnaBean Whee =
Bunnabean, the 7-year-old speshul bunnwabba at the Treehouse, hasn’t been feelin too good lately. He is rather elderly, and hasn’t wanted to eat or drink or move much. Wheesmom been takin good care of him, and enticin him to eat a little, so with the glow bein sent, he will hopefully be feelin better soon.

= Muffin StLouie =
Muffin got to have anuther guessin game the other day, on what her current wate is. She is up to 7 pounces 2 ounces, up from 6p11o, so Gonzo was the winner wif that correct answer. WTG, Muffin, on the wate gain!

= Graci and Remi Snowta =
Remi and Graci went to see the vetdokter early in the week. Remi got his stitches out, but since he had a inflammashun, he hadda take auntybiotix. Graci was just supposeta get her red number and tired purreshur checked, but she turned it into quite an ordeal. Graci kicked, screemed, scratched, bit, hissed, yowled, and it tooked 3 hoomans to hold her down fur the tests. The good mews is that she gained a whole half a pound in one month, from 4-1/2 to 5 pounds ... and that her red number rosed from 19 to 24.5! They wasn’t able to get a real accurate purreshur readin cuz Grace was so wild, but it seemed a lil hi, so they will continue to watch it.

Aunty Norma went to ARF to bisit Winken and Blinken resently, and she sed it was so good to see them again. ARF been goin thru some tuff times after not gettin no greenpapers in when it was closed due to the ringyworm, but a resent artikle in the mewspaper mite bring about some good changes. The Catnip Crew asked fur glow fur a speshul rescue frend who not only losted her home, but all her pets to a bad fire. The Village rallied round and sent much glow and luv to them ...

= Mew York =
It was anuther sad week in Mew York, with the loss of three lil babykits who had some undetermined purroblem that purrvented them from bein able to eat okay. Tess, Joe, and Mariah flew on to the Bridge knowin they had luv while here. Other older kittens played spades and were tootered successfully this week.


HOOMAN BEANS

= Meowzers Bruther =
Ash Meowzer’s hooman bruther Shane had a close call resently. He’s a caretaker at a wildlife purrserve in Hawaii, and wildfires in the area were comin close and thretenin the animals and his house. Lukily, the fires was controlled in time, and no animals or possesshuns were harmed at all, but it was a furry scary and tense time.

= SnowtaPapa =
The SnowtaGrampapa is showin some impurrovement, finely! After havin two toobs taked out of his throat and put in more long-term holes cut in him insted, Papa is able to have less sedashun while still havin help wif breethin masheen and toob food. SnowtaDad bisited him this past weekend, and bringed him a stuffed black kittycat that the Snowtakits picked out fur him. Papa showed responses by smiling, openin his eyes, and tryin to meow somefin. This is wunnerful long awaited mews.

Hello everykit,
This is Squashy, your Kit on the Scratcher. I have moved my previous location to the top of moms pillow, so this week I have a new name. My name this week is Squashy, your Kit on the Pillow, but that is neither here nor there.
The photo contest brought lots of excitement to the village and the results were extremely close. Mom had to show the pictures to some impartial humans just to clear up the very close race.
In the end, Munchie was the big Weiner with Casey in second place and 4 other kits all from different families sharing third place. Third place was shared by Ash, Tare, Gonzo, and Minette. I can not wait until next week's contest. The Editor's choice winner was Maddie, cuz I swear she was winking right at me when she showed her teeth!
The photo topic for next week is "phhthptttt" Dat's right, I said "phhthptttt". ::::::::Squashy wipes the spit off his face from sticking out his tongue making noises:::::::::
