Labor Day is comin up this weekend alreddy ... now where did the summer go? That’s the ‘offishul’ end to summer, but around the Farm here, Mama Nature can’t deside whether what season it should be! It’s 90 one day, and near frost warnin temps the next. All we can say is eben tho the nice wether is grate, we will almost be glad fur the furst frost of the fall so we can stop hearin Mom yell “Ahhh-CHOOOoooo!!” alla time.
By the way, eben tho we had a sellybrashun a few weeks ago wif our 100th issue of the MeowChat Mews, it’s also our 2nd annipurrsary of publicashun this week! Yep, on August 19, 2006, MeowChat Mews was borned, and lookit it runnin around now. Happy Annipurrsary to us! ;)
There’s a coupla mew faces around the Village, some kits has still been playin the In and Out game, and some Village moms is back to skool alreddy. = Anuther New Village =
As if bringin Spencer into the fambly not long ago wasn’t enuff fur Petie and Jebbie Furlorida’s nerves, now they got somefin eben biggerer to contend wif ... a new goggie sisfur! Aunty Jefer desided to bring home this big goggie to live wif them, and altho the hooomans seem to like her a lot, Petie, Jebbie, and Spencer is a bit wary of the newcomer. Named “Katie,” the springy spanyel goggie will no doubt be showed around the Village by the GCMCV (Goggie Club of MeowChat Village) soon.
= In, Out, In, Out =
Despite her sisfur, Mocha, bein back in the porch, Smudge Purr shows no signs of ankshuly wantin back in The In rite now. She has been comin closer to the porch, and her mom is finkin mebbe a nice lil rainstorm mite convince Smudgey to get her purrty tail back inside again.
Wilbur, the StLouie yardcat, has been spending some time inside the StLouiekits’ house, and so fur he seems to be behavin himself. He comes in at nite sometimes so the nayborhood whees don’t bother him. On the other paw, Melanie has taken it upon herself to be the offishun greeter of the house, and no kit is too sure if Wilbur is happy about the sniffy kinda welcome that Melly has given him. Time will tell ....
= Bigg Aspurrashuns =
Little JayJay Shortbus Acheron Midask9 is a lil tiny babykit, but he has got some bigg plans fur his future. JayJay resently announced that he wanted to be a ferret when he growed up. He also would like to be a lion. JayJay is furry ambishus, and also purrclaimed that he wants to be not only a fire enjine when he gets bigg, but also a hellochopper! The Village looks furward to helpin lil JayJay acheeve his high hopes.
= New Turf =
CV’s got some new turf ... some new grass. No, he didn’t join a gang or become a ‘dealer.’. His mom and dad was nice enuff to plant some new grass in the yard so it would attrack birdies and squirrtles and flutterbies just fur CV to watch. He has some furry accommodatin pawrents to do this just fur him. No word on whether it was the sprinkly-sprinkly kinda grass, or the roll-it-out carpet kinda green stuff.
= Safe From Hissycanes =
Petie Furlorida and Franci Pepsicola have bofe repurrted that their famblies is safe from that hissycane type storm wif the same name as a Meow Mom. They is gettin some rain and wind, but luckily it has sorta fizzled out a lil bit and there isn’t much danjer. We is still waitin on a repurrt from Sammy Ccarlini to find out how they fared thru the storms

THE MEOWDICAL REPURRT
= Pita Alaskycat =
Pita, who saw his vetdokter not long ago fur a purroblem wif limpin, hadda go see the dockter again. Pita is still limpin, and has losted some wate. So fur, tests have not conclooded much except that Pita has some low red numbers. Hopefully soon, this unknown malady can be resolved and it won’t be nuffin that can’t be treeted.
= Gus Noble =
Gus resently went in to the vetdokter fur his senior checkup, and passed his tests with flyin colors ... good job, Gus!
= Graci Snowta =
Graci had her regular vetdokter check on her red number, and didn't get much of a hissyfit in this time. Dr. Joel wrapped in her the towel tite, and Graci’s eyes was huge and round and throwin daggers as she was made into a purrito and blood was stoled from her legg. Only a few skratches were suffered by hoomans this time. The good mews is that her red number is up to 27, from 24.5 last week ... almost to the edge of normal. She does need some tooferwork done, so at her next checkup iffen her number is still goin up, then she will get her pearly yellows shined up and some toofies pulled out.

The second ARF garaje sale was held this past weekend at the Wiscats house, and once again it was a purrty good deal, wif more greenpapers fur ARF. The Wiscats are glad to stop havin stranje hoomans stomp outside and inside their house tho.

Some foster kittens there still isn’t gainin enuff wate, so they is gettin eggstra food gived to them.

The foster kittens at the Purr house is growin bigg and strong, and altho the Purrs is not happy when the lil ones get their eggcersize time runnin around, they prolly do enjoy sittin up on their high spots and sayin ‘nyah nyah’ as the kittens try to jump and join them.

Wheesmom saw a second sturjeon, and sturjery will be purrformed in about two weeks. There is no other treetment fur the cansfur, so they ... and all of us ... are furvently wishin, hopin, and purraying and glowin that the sturjeon gets all the bad stuff out.

Pita and Sassy’s gramma (Aunty Andi’s mom) is inna horsepiddle with some purroblems, in purticlar some brain swelling. The doctors not got a diagnosis yet, so effurry is furry worried about Gramma.

No, I not like Mommys to haff to go to wurk, but I does need some comfurts ob life, so I gess dere no choice. I sure she wood rather be home wiff you too. Mebbe she will leave on animal planet on da teebee to help. You needs a hobby! How about wurkink Sudoku puzzles or playink da piano or mebbe you could take up spinning and spin your loose furz into yarn and could knit a nice warm scarf! If all else fails, curl up and fall asleep on her piwwow -- it will smell good and help you to nap.

Hello Everykit, This is Squashy, your kit on the bed belly up. The results are in from the love photo contest with a wonderful turn out of lots of pictures to choose from and lots of votes to count. Good thing I gots lots of fingers and toes to count on on account of my polydactylality (It is a word, don't question it...)
Anyhow, I digress... The results are in. First place goes to our dear Gervais and Chloraseptic, errr I mean Chlortrimaton, err Chlorox, errr I mean... Gonzo, what did you say her name was again? Anyhow Chlo somefing and Gervais were the big winners of the week. There love will not be forgotten.
Second place goes to, well.... Me! GOnzo and me gots second place by one vote!!! :::::::Gonzo smacks Squashy in the head and puts his vote in for Phoenix and Sprite:::::::: Well, I guess it is a tie between me and Gonzo and Phoenix and Sprite. But I still have to vote....
