Happy Labor Day! Hmm, that’s a funny hollyday ... it about labor, but most of us don’t hasta work? Oh well, no matter, it’s a fine day to offishully ‘end’ summer wif a nice piknik or barbyQ or get togeffur wif your frends and fambly. Corn-onna-cob is nummy-good rite about now here at Clover Blossom Farm, so you can be sure we’ll be nibblin and and gobblin!
It’s been a kinda unbizzy week in the Villge, but I fink the town is eber watchful of their frends in the souf, and sendin lotsa glow that the bigg hissycane storm doesn’t hit Nawlins, or any purrt of Furrlorida. {{ }} We do have a new resident in the Village, there’s a pardee bein thrown in honor of a young cupple, and somekitty swallowed somefin she shouldn’t have .... read about it here this week in the Mews!

LOCAL MEWS

= New Villager =

A new kitty moved into our Village in the past week, and he is quite a delite to have around. His name is Murray, and he’s a n appurroximately 6-year-old Meezie boy. He lives in the Aridzona part of the Village, and is a big boy! His mom has been wanting to take Murray on walks outside lately, so she gettin him one of them fancy-schmancy walkin jakkets so he can stay safe. He finks it will make quite a fashun statement. If you see Murray around the town, give him a big welcome to the Village!

= Unhappy and Wet =

Attila Purr is not a happy camper. Just on accounta he got a lil messy on his rear secshun, his mom roodly desided to scrub-adub-dub him! He got washed, and scrubbed, and rubbed, and scrubbed somemore til he was all clean, yeah, but wet, sore, and ritefully indignant. Poor lil Attila felt his mom didn’t luv him anymore fur such harsh treetment, and most other Villagers sympafized. He did ebentually furgive her however, but is keepin a wary eye out fur washcloffs.

= Closin Camp =

Camp PawPrints has closed down fur the season, and Maria NY, SammyWhee, and Oreo Pepsicola helped the little ones pack up their sootcases and get reddy to go back home. Sammy gave a nature lesson about all kindsa neato buggs, and Oreo reminded them that lotsa fun fings will happen all year round. After a final mice creem treet in the food tent, the kittens were put on the lil yello bus and send home to their happy pawrents.

= Up High =

Spencer Furrlorida has made a decishun. He doesn’t much care fur his new goggie sisfur, Katie. Wheneber Katie is about and about, Spencer jumps up way high on a dresser, and keeps a watchful eye on her, eben tho Katie doesn’t eber try to hurt or chase him. When she’s not around, tho, he comes down and acts normal, so it’s prolly just a matter of time afore he gets used to sisfur Katie.

= Gulp!: Stoopid Hooman Trick =

The SnowtaMom been diggin thru litterboxes lately, and no, it’s not cuz she finely really turned into a crazy cat lady. It’s her ‘payback’ fur dumbly furgettin a lil plastic cap on one of Graci’s food syrinjes. They is tiny clear caps that go just ober the tips of lil feedin syrinjes, hard to see sometimes, and when she was tryin to feed Graci the other nite ... yep, you guessed it. The tip shot off into Graci’s mouf, and gulp! She swallowed it! Poor Graci been gettin lotsa laxatone and bein watched by Mom in the LB eber since, but so fur, no cap has been downloaded. It small enuff it shouldn’t cause purroblems, and she actin fine, but Graci will go to the vet on Toosday iffen it don’t appear by then.

= Bigg Bird =
SammyWhee and Gus Noble saw a funny site the other day. It was a bigg bloo bird on a nearby pond, just there takin in the sunshine. Gus told Sammy that is was called a ‘bloo hair on” bird, but Sammy sez he only saw feffurs, and no hair. Hopefully that bloo bird won’t get a sunburn, or he mite turn purrple.


THE MEOWDICAL REPURRT

= Munchkin Catnip =
Munchkin had a vetdokter appoinkment this week, and had her blood stoled. So fur, her red number went up a lil bit, her buns went down a lil bit, and her creachurine only wented up a tad. Anuther test fur metallica ac/dc also turned out negatiff, so she don’t hafta takin no bicarb, but she does has to up her tassium supplyments a lil bit. She was eatin okeydoke the other day, so all around purrty good mews there.

= Beau Wiscat =
Beau continues to do well wif his eatin and his gloocose and insolence, and has eben gained 6 ounces in the past two weeks. He doin a good job.

= Muffin StLouie =
Muffin founded out resently that her red number has goned back down again. She gonna start havin the ruth’n’pete’n shots effurry few weeks again, and hopefully that will bring her red number rite up to where it should be.


THE FOSTER CONNEKSHUN

= Indeeana =
Fosterkitten Isabella (“Bella,” now “Izzy”) has gone to her new home. She is lucky to have a wunnerful fureber fambly wif two nice goggies, and two good hoomanchildren. She eben had one of the goggies scared of her! Bella has alreddy gotted lotsa new toys, and blankies, and bed, and it sounds like this gonna be a grate home fur her.

= Mew Yawk =
One of the the NY foster kittens hadda to the horsepiddle fur a coupla days this week, but is doin okeydoke now. Golde didn’t wanna eat after a tummy upset, so she gots flooids and stuff at the vetdockter’s to make her feel betterer. She is now home.

= Lawn Guyland =
Two of the foster kittens there is gettin a new home, and the Catnip Crew isn’t unhappy to see the actiff kittens go. Bambi and Sassie will go to their fureber home togeffur, and will be sure to have some grate times wif their new fambly.

= Katelyn Coolcat =
Al, Cookie, and Cali’s hooman sisfur Katelyn has had a traumatic last coupla weeks. She somehow got an owie on her lipp that hadda be sewed up by a hooman vetdokter. Bofe the sewin up part, and the unsewin part was furry hard on this lil gal and not a fun eggsperiense at all. She still gots a few stitches in, so hopefully the next time it will go a lil easier.

You is beink quite fillosofical wiff queshuns about rooster & crows. Crows be quite talented boids you know - I meowed wiff one da other day, and he wer not bashful bout telling me that. Dey are furry good at mimicink other boids. So dey roosters when dey see a coot wittul hen dat dey wants a date wiff, den dey crow like a rooster and gets all snuggly wiff da hens. Dat is a furry deep sekret dat da crows dont want anyones to know, so don't tell anyone, k?
As we was doink research fur dis answer we gotted an email frum a furry old purrfessor frum da old country. He meowed dat this crow/hen thing was considered extweemely good luck for the farmers where it happened and dat dese episodes were highly reverred. In fact the eggs that were borned were sent to a speshul area. Which is how the country ob Crow-egg-sha came to be.

Hello Everyone, it is I, Squashy, Kit on the Futon, here to deliver the results of last week's photo contest. Many photos were in our contest this week, and a few new kits participated. That is what I like to see.
Well, it was again a very close race, very close race indeed, but the winner this week was no other than Sammywhee, da belly button whee we all know and luff. Now, second place is annuder story. It was tied between Oiuja and Cathy, and Cathy refused to vote for herself. Cathy,
don't be ridiculous! You can always vote for yourownself. There aint nothing wrong with that at all. Now, you shall have to share the second place title. Too bad so sad.
