Happy Annifurrsary to us! Yep, beleef it or not, it is the THIRD annifurrsary of the MeowChat Mews! Our furst issue of this edishun of the MCM went out on August 19, 2006. Wow, time sure flies when you’re havin fun! ;) I’d like to take this oppurtoonaty to fank the MeowChat Mews staff, purresent and past fur all of their hard work and help: Franci Pepsicola, Lucy Connecticat, Petie Furlorida, Squashy Zilly, and acourse in meowmurry of Ash Meowzers and foundin editor, Nikki Snowta. It’s the Cat Days of Summer ... and what does that mean? It means time fur fun! Most Villagers are havin a grate time takin a tour of the Orrygone coast, while others is enjoyin backyard barbeecues while relaxin at home. The late days of August also mean that skool is about reddy to start, so many Meowmoms are purrparin fur that, while Village kittens are ankshus to start the new skool year.
The Village eggsperiensed anuther sad loss this past week, and effurry is hopin against hope that there will be no more anytime soon. One now-Bridge angel Villager was featured in a nashunal article resently, and there’s new kitties in somebuddy’s basement. Find out all that’s mew rite here in the Mews!

The TenHouseCat fambly became smaller last week when dear black Purrshun Glitter passed on to the Rainbow Bridge. She’d been feelin poorly fur awhile, and is now happily reunited at the Bridge with black Purrshun sisfur Ceilidh Djinn and many siblins and frends. She is surbibed by sad momMaryChristine, other sisfurs and bruthurs, and her Village friends. Sing sweetly in the black cat choir, Glitter ... {{ }}

The resent loss of our Mayor Munchkin Catnip saddened the Village, but eben tho she isn’t here, she is still teachin. A resent nashunal article on sfgate.com by Pethobbyist’s Aunty Christie Keith, gave some furry eggcellent infurmashun about carin fur cats with kittney failure. = Basement Kitties =
While the Whee and Noblekit famblies has been bizzy lookin fur a new house to buy, they haven’t stopped helpin out animals in need. While on the house hunt, they spied some cats and kittens livin on a farm who were hungry and lonely. They taked some of them home, and are keepin them in the basement, and eben had some of the play spades and be tootered. The kitties will have to be returned to their orijinal home, but they will have gotten some grate care furst.
= Tattoo To You =
Riley Catnip is one tuff dood! After he resently spent a nite in jayl (on the Orrygone adbenchur), he came back home with quite a soovenir. He got a tattoo, of a paw, on his paw! Altho his mom and some frends were shokked at furst, Riley tells us “The tattoo is quite tasteful, and a symbol of our meowmurries of Munchkin.”

Lynsi Snowta is ankshusly lookin furward to the compleshun of her sidecar. Her sidecar chair is in the purrocess of bein conberted, but unfurtunately, so fur effurrytime some remodelin is done, a certain pollydakkle fosterkitten tears it apart. Lynsi is back to the drawin board fur a new design.

= Maddie & Nicky Catnip =
Maddie hasn't been feelin too well lately, and while her buns and creechur numbers weren't tootoo bad, she had a kittney infekshun. She also not eatin much at all, so she is gettin medisins fur bofe of those, and some assist feedin from momDottie.
As it turns out, Nicky won't be needin sturjery on his toesie after all. The vetdokters determined there is no cansfur and that the toe is startin to heal, so his mom continues with auntybiotic soaks and medisins.
= Muffin StLouie =
Muffin's trip to the vetdokter the other day turned out better than she eggspected. Her red number is up a bit, and she's been havin fun eatin babyfood at home. She eben met a nice young lady at the clinic who wants to be a vetdokter someday.
FOSTER CONNEKSHUN
Both AHAL (momDottie Catnip's rescue) and ARF (momNorma Wiscat's rescue) had garaj sales this past weekend. While the garajes are still in place, some fings sold, and effurry little bit helps fur the animals. Bofe are hopeful that future sales and ebents will bring in eben more greenpapers.
Chelsie FosterNYkitten picked out her fureber home the other day, and is happily lookin furward to a long wunnerful life with her new fambly. Charlie FosterSnowta kitten is bein tootered on Wensday, and hopefully will be able to find his own new fambly after that.
On a sad note, the lil disabled kitten Leggo, who was transpurrted to Katsas by Aunty PHGinger's husband UnkleGeorge, has passed on to the Rainbow Bridge uneggspectedly. He was luved by many in his short life.
