Happy Mew Year! Yep, it’s the Mew Year alreddy, and alla hussle and bussle of the hollydays is ober with. It was a most luvly Kitmas in the Village, and the Mew Year rang in brite and with thots of hope and cheer fur the coming twelve months. The Villagers had a wonnerful time with many pardees, gifts, and speshul meowmurries.
With a coming new year, always comes new hope. We lost many frends in 2009. As in every other year ... we wipe our tears, and forje ahead, lookin furward hopefully to a brite future. Altho times are tuff fur effurry, in one way or anuther, iffen we stick togeffur, we have hope, faith, and luv. We hope all of your 2010 Mew Year hopes and dreams come troo this year, and the the comin 12 months is kind to all of us ...
We apawlogize again fur only havin two isshues of the Mews in Decembrr, versus the usual three to four. The hollydays is such a bizzy time fur us and our hoomans here, and along with the ongoing computer isshues, well ... we just didn’t get it done! Our Mew Year’s resolushun is to make sure we get your MeowChat Mews to you in a timely manner durin the coming year, with all the best fun and infurmatiff stuff you need to know! ..

= Calico Flowers Fly in the Wind ... =

The Village learned today of the sad loss of one of their very longtime residents. Miss Lacey Susan TenHouseCats made her journey to the Rainbow Bridge, surrounded by swirls of calico flowers. She is sadly missed by her momMC, many siblins, and many frends in the Village. You are a beeyooteeful flower, Lacey, and you danse in the wind like a fairy ..... {{{ }}}

= Hollyday Shennannanananigans =

When Sandy Claws is comin to town, most kitties and pups are good as gold, becuz they don’t wanna be on that nawty list! A few slipups occurr amongst the youngsters, acourse, and then again ... once Sandy Claws is gone for the year, others just can’t help gettin into mischiff!
Kit Noblekit almost got herownself in some real bigg trubble when she tried chewin on the Kitmas tree lites! Lukkily her hooman pawrents found her out afore anyfing bad happened. Kit has purromised them and her kittypawrents, Mijo and Ashli, that she will not do anyfing like that again.
Willie StLouie didn’t get hisself into any trubble, but he desided that all boxes was his at Kitmas time, and took them ober. He guarded them, inside and out, and kept them from all danjer. Becci Snowta, meanwhile, took it upon herownself to ‘proon’ the roses ... ceptin they was a vaseful of roses that SnowtaDad got fur SnowtaMom fur their annipurrsary. Luckily she didn’t knok the vase ober and only got a few nibbles in.
It remains to be seen yet whether Sally Snowta has somefin wrong or is just stressed out, but her new trik is not makin any happy. She has begun peein on Mom’s headpillows and blanky on the couch fur some unknown reason. She don’t go down the basement like she used to, and hides unner the luvseat, so purrhaps she and Becci got into a tiff and she just nerbus. It too dang cold outside to get her to the vetdokter iffen it not a merjency, so hopefully fings will impurrove.

= BRRRRChilly Wether =

Yep, no matter where you are, kitties got icicles hangin from their whiskers! From the waaay frozed norf of Wiscatsin and Minnesnowta where it’s been nearly -30 below, to chilly Catifurnia, to frijid Indiana and Mew York and Meowsourri, all the way to Furlorida where it’s eben purrdicted to have some icy sleet and snow ... it’s COLD out there! Bundle up, kits .... it’s a blast of the deep freeze!

= Return of a Villager =

The Villagers were happily and plesently surprised when ober the hollydays, the Pumakits made an appearance in the Village. BearBear Puma and her siblins came to a chat, and told us all about how they’ve been doin lately. Due to momMarilyn’s bizzy work skedule, and dadBrian’s meowdical treetments in Catifurnia, they is furry bizzy, but hope to come bisit again soon!


HOOMAN BEANS

= Aunty Norma Wiscat =

Aunty Norma is back home again, after spendin about 3 weeks inna rehab place in Minnesnowta. She is still takin her time recobering, but is makin furry good purrogress so fur. She will go back to work (skool) in a few weeks, and altho she won’t be able to drive, she can get rides, and then get around skool with her walker until she is all betterer. Some of the kitties offered to get her a basket, horn, and streemers fur her walk, a horn that eben plays classical mewsic, but fur some reason, she declined the offers. ;)

= Unkle Brian Pumakit =

Unkle Brian has been gettin treetment fur a cansfur in Los Angeles, and so fur it seems to be helpin him. This isn’t abailable in their state, so the trips is tired and long, but iffen it helps him, it is all worf it. Much glow has been sent fur Unkle Brian to beet this bad fing.


THE MEOWDICAL REPURRT

= Muffin StLouie =

Muffin gave her pawrents, and the whole Village, quite a scare the other day. She wasn’t feelin herownself, and when she didn’t eben move when her nemesisisisi-sisfur Polly jumped by her, her pawrents know somefin was wrong. They rushed her to the vetdokter, and sure nuff ... her blood purreshur was sky-hi, and a blood vessel had bursted in her eyeboll. They gived her medisin rite away, which helped her blood get down to a better (but not normal) purresshur a few days later. Rite now Muffin cannot see outta her eyeboll, but it doesn’t seem to be retinal detachment, and hopefully as it heals, she will be able to see again. She is feelin a lil purrkier and eating a bit more these past few days.

Da pasht two weeks haff been furry festive in da village an round da world...Wit a noo generation in da village, many kittlins selebwated der furst Kitmas, wit gusto, I mite add, as well as der furst Mew Year.
2009 has been anuffur bittersweet year, sho many losses to da bwidge but tempered wit so many gains of da young...an da Wheel uf Time continues to twurn...and of course the furrys did up the holidays wit their usual inimitabul style, skating parties, Kitmas parties, Mew Years parties. Filled wit fun an laughter and uf course tons of food....Wats a Village Pawrty witowt Toona Rolls? There was a welcome home pawrty fur Aunty Wis, home again wit hur furrys aftur getting a noo hip! And a welcome home to Minette and Maddy after der sthay wit DA Vetdoctor during der moms absence. Der were effun burfday an annibursary pawrties. Check da nouncements list fur whose....And now dat we haff bid doodbye to 2009 and welcomed in 2010 effery ish settling in fur wat looks wike a long hawrd winter...wood yu beleef dey meowing dat it mite effun shnow in Flawida dis weekend!
